The Baltic Sustainability Awards 2024 and Rimi as a founding partner, have once again spotlighted the innovative spirit and dedication of the region's green pioneers. This year’s event, held on November 26–27 at the Splendid Palace in Riga, brought together thought leaders, trailblazing companies, and groundbreaking startups. From innovative solutions in CO2 capture to eco-friendly urban development projects, the winners exemplify how sustainability can drive both environmental and economic progress.
This year, we were happy to join the CEO Roundtable with Valdis Turlais, CMD of Rimi Latvia. Additionally, Kerstin Lindvall, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer of our mother company ICA Gruppen, shared insights into how sustainability trends are evolving in the Swedish market. We also engaged in discussions on sustainable supply chain and participated in the CSR Latvia discussion led by Agnese Alksne-Bensone. Every step, from responsible supply chains to changes in daily consumption habits, plays a crucial role in sustainability. "The event not only celebrates achievements in sustainability but also inspires companies and individuals to make more environmentally conscious choices and create a sustainable future for generations to come. We are here to make this change happen," emphasizes Zanda Sadre Šadre, Corporate Sustainability and Compliance Director at Rimi Baltic.
